It helps manage exudate, infection, and bioburden (the number of microorganisms on a surface). It also locks in exudate and bacteria, which helps minimize maceration (softening and breakdown of skin due to moisture) and cross-infection. It molds to the wound bed, eliminating dead space where bacteria can grow.
• It utilizes a unique formulation that enhances the effectiveness of ionic silver within the dressing to eliminate infection. It provides sustained antimicrobial activity in the dressing for up to 7 days and prevents the reformation of microbes. It can kill a wide variety of bacteria, including those that are antibiotic-resistant.
